Fundraising Sources

The NRA Foundation, Inc.

Since its inception, The NRA Foundation, Inc. has funded more than 15,000 grants totaling over $100 million, making it America's leading charitable organization in support of the shooting sports.

State Fund Grants are awarded to eligible applicants for qualifying projects or activities that promote firearms and hunting safety and enhance the marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports. State Fund Committees meet annually to review and recommend eligible projects for funding. Final approval rests with The NRA Foundation, Inc. Board of Trustees. Application submission deadlines and meeting dates are determined independently within each respective state.

The Foundation has announced the implementation of an online grant application process. The electronic application form is available on The NRA Foundation website at www.nrafoundation.org/grants/state-fund-grant-guidelines.

The conservation organizations listed below offer grants in support of youth shooting sports programs. We recommend that you visit their websites where you will be directed to their Chapter Locator, Regional Chairman, or Regional Director. Send a letter, email or call the person at the number listed to become familiar with their grant application process. Be prepared to meet with the local committee or go to a fundraising banquet. Fundraising banquets are a great place to ask for help and show support for the local chapter.

MidwayUSA Foundation is changing the future of youth shooting sports with a mission to help communities and organizations raise funds to support their high school, college, and other youth shooting teams and activities. Over 3,000 youth shooting sports teams, of all disciplines, are funded by the MidwayUSA Foundation. To date, the Foundation has handed out over $20 million in cash grants.

Every team endowment at the MidwayUSA Foundation is earmarked for a specific youth shooting sports team and will provide funding to that team forever. All teams are eligible to fundraise and grow their endowment any way they choose. MidwayUSA Foundation offers free products that participating teams can use to conduct fundraisers. Shooting teams can also receive tax deductible donations directly to their endowments through the MidwayUSA Foundation website [midwayusafoundation.org]. 100% of each donation benefits the team because MidwayUSA Foundation keeps nothing for operations. In addition, Larry and Brenda Potterfield fund a Matching Program that will boost each donation.

There is no competition for grants at MidwayUSA Foundation. Every year each team is eligible to receive 5% of their endowment account balance as a cash grant to assist with shooting team expenses. A MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment is funding you can count on.

High school or college age shooting teams across the nation can start a MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment free of charge. Learn more by visiting the MidwayUSA Foundation at https://www.midwayusafoundation.org or by emailing info@midwusafoundation.org
