Description
My Trap team is part of the White County 4-H Shooting Sports Program. We are the Shotgun (Trap)Team. I have 20 kids that range from 6th grade to 12th grade. This year is my 3rd season with this sport. The county had a team about 10 yeas ago but my daughter wanted to try it out so my husband and I got certified and even built our own range for practices to save money where we could. We live in small rural county in Tennessee with a population around 25,000. Our ammo supplier is the local Wal-Mart and as you know there is none out there. My parents are feeling frustrated and my kids are feeling disappointed because they love to shoot. The majority of my kids are ones that do not fit in with any of the typical sports. I love that about them because I can see the friendships grow as practices move on. The support between the teammates is visible and I love to see, it grow.
