The Andrew Jackson Council Boy Scouts of America (AJC BSA) serves approximately 6 500 youth in 170 locations in 22 counties in Central and Southwest Mississippi. The AJC BSA owns and operates the 1 300 acre Hood Scout Reservation (HSR) near Hazlehurst MS. Thecurrent HSR Shooting Sports Facilities completed in 2015 consists of the following:100 meter Rifle Range with Pavilion 25 meter Pistol Range with Pavilion Trap Field Skeet Field 100 meter FITA Archery Range with Compound and Recurve Bows 20 Station 3D Archery Trail Indoor Climate-Controlled Air Rifle and Air Pistol Indoor Classroom BB Gun and Muzzleloaders.The AJC BSA operates the HSR Shooting Sports Facility under the oversight of 10 NRA trained and certified instructors at the Warren A.
