Biathlon is a popular Olympicsport that combines the physical test of cross-country skiing and thepsychological demands of rifle marksmanship with its origins dating back tohunting and military campaigns in snow covered regions.normalmso-outline-level:2"">mso-themecolor:text1mso-bidi-font-weight:bold"">Auburn Ski Club Biathlon offersWinter and Summer programs focusing on youth and junior development.Ourparticipants range in age from eight to 80 from novice to world classathlete. We offer (1) coaching provided by former Olympians and nationallyranked biathletes, (2) emphasis is on safety and core shooting fundamentals, (3) rifles/ammo are provided for our youth clinics andtraining sessions, (4) multiple camp, clinics and races held throughout the year, (5) group and private clinicsavailable, (6) 20 km of groomed XC ski trails, and (7) 50 meter, 16-point range.normalmso-outline-level:2"">ASC is the proud host ofboth Summer (running/shooting) and Winter US National Biathlon Championshipsfor 2014-15.The ASC Training Center has theonly Olympic distance year around Biathlon Range in the West.
