The Beaverhead County 4-H Shooting Sportsprogram strives to develop lifelong skills in our shooting sports members. Wepromote firearm safety, care and maintenance, goal setting, mentalpreparedness, individual discipline, sportsmanship, and marksmanship. Ourprogram instills confidence, builds self esteem, establishes accountability,and allows individuals the opportunity to learn how to shoot recreationally andcompetitively. It introduces participants to local competitions and allows themthe opportunity to explore regional, state and national opportunities. We feelit is our responsibility to develop skills in our youth that will allow them tohandle firearms safely, responsibly and confidently as they enter into today'ssociety. The program is a safe, fun, challenging activity that can develop intoa lifelong passion that can be shared with the entire family.
