The Bemidji High School Trap Club is a club affiliated with the high school. We compete in the Minnesota Clay Target League and the MSHSL Clay Target League. Just forming in the spring of 2014, we are a club that is on the move. We capped team participants to 45 kids due to lack of space and coaches (and also being the first year of the club, we decided to stay at a manageable size the first year). We turned down a ton of kids (grades 6-12) who wanted to be involved in shooting sports. We didn't want to, but facilities and finding volunteer coaches to accommodate that many students just wasn't feasible. We compete in a spring season and also a shorter, less intense, fall season. We have a mission statement that involved safety, education, and fun. It was an awesome, successful season and we look forward to many more with growth of available equipment, facilities (hopefully) and coaching staff.
