The Carver County 4-H Shooting Sports and Wildlife Management Program teaches 4-H youth the importance of firearm safety, discipline and focus. Our program runs from January through July. Every Shooting Sports participant is required to spend time learning and improving on each shooting discipline. 4-Her are also required to attending weekly wildlife management instructional classes and complete a project related to the project area. During the 2012 to 2013 4-H year Carver County 4-H had around 60 youth participate in the program. 19 of those youth went on to compete at the Minnesota State 4-H Shooting Competition.
