Description

Shooting sports is an active program attractive to youth and adults.The 4-H Shooting Sports Program is designed to assist young people in personal development establish a personal environmental ethic and explore lifelong vocational activity.The program uses experiential learning ("Learn by Doing") and positive interactions with youth and adult role models to help develop self concept self assurance and a positive self image.Core concepts stress firearm safety and ethical development personal responsibility and lifetime recreation skills.Specifically our 4-H club program offers instruction by state certified instructors in the disciplines of .22 rifle .177 air rifle and .22 pistol.We strictly follow the curriculum provided by the National 4-H Shooting Program.The .22 Pistol project includes Round and Slow Fire Bullseye Hunter Pistol Silhouette.The Rifle Project includes teaching and competing in 3 position (Prone Kneeling and Standing) at 50 feet and 50 yards.Smallbore Silhouette.In air rifle we use sporter air rifles and shoot 3P and silhouette also.All disciplines follow NRA rules.
