The youth members range in age from 9 yearsto 18 years old. Disciplines presently offered include archery air rifle andair pistol rimfire rifle rimfire pistol black powder and shotgun."Times New Roman"""Times New Roman""The name of the club is “Johnston County4-H Target Sports.” Club leader is Steve Hall. The club has instructors thatare certified by 4-H in the shooting disciplines of archery rifle shotgun and handgun. The club meets twice a month on the first and third Saturday. Themeeting on the first Saturday is held from 10:00 AM to Noon at the club’sarchery range located on NC Hwy 210 west of Smithfield between Black Creek Roadand County Home Road (near the Landfill Livestock area). The archery rangedoes not have a formal street address but if you search under Google Maps thecloset street address is “3884 NC Hwy 210 Smithfield.”There is roadside sign marking the location and an access gate on the right ifcoming from the direction of Smithfield.The third Saturday meeting is held at a shooting range located at H2O FowlFarms LLC (3494 Fairground Road Dunn NC 28334). Our club also has a few .22 rimfire rifles and shotguns for use.If a youth already has a rifle and/or shotgun it is recommended that they bebrought for inspection. If not it is recommended that club firearms be usedinitially to determine what’s best for each individual before parents considermaking an investment in a firearm. mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman"color:#333333"There are no club duesbut rather club members are asked to periodically contribute toward clubexpenses such as replenishing target clays and ammunition.
