KOSC was founded in 1998 by Judy Oswald. After taking her grandchildren to participate in a hunter education course she felt she could make the experience more hands on and entertaining for our youth. KOSC started their first year with one camp of 16 kids. Over the next twenty years it blossomed into the most successful and interactive hunter education course in the state. The camps are held at Red Bank Outfitters one of the oldest hunting clubs in California and the incredible venue allows the kids to stay all week and truly experience every aspect that the outdoors has to offer. We currently run five to six camps a summer and each camp has 25-30 kids. For those who already have their hunters education certificate we offer an advanced camp to perfect your shooting skills and further your knowledge of the outdoors.KOSC offers a wide range of activities. While attending camp kids will participate in the Hunters Education Course as well as many other activities including fishing turkey calling first aid and much more! They will have first class instruction on how to properly shoot archery shotguns rifles and black powder. When not in the classroom or on the range they can swim in the pool the pond with a floating trampoline or interact with the other kids playing basketball and other sports.
