Description
This 4h Youth Sports Program provides instruction in the safe handling of firearms while developing self-confidence and leadership abilities in participants. As a youth development education program Youth Shooting Sports uses the skills and disciplines of shooting to assist young people and their leaders in attaining knowledge and developing essential skills.The objectives of the members will be: recognize and identify basic parts of a rifle and pistol and understand the functions of those parts use a firearm safely and responsibly understand range rules and etiquette and enjoy the shooting sports program while gaining skills for a lifetime.The members will meet monthly. Members will also have the opportunity to participate in county regional and state matches where they can exhibit the skills learned in the presence of the other members throughout the County and State.
