Missouri Sport Shooting Association Junior Program

Description

We sponsor two junior competitive rifle camps that provide training for junior shooter. The curriculum is 3 position smallbore rifle. We have NRA CMP USA SHOOTING certified coaches. The camps last 4 days. We provide a bunkhouse food targets ammunition and any needed additional equipment such as spotting scopes offhand stands mat kneeling rolls and rifles. The camps were started in 1985. The total costper camperwas $150.00 for the 4 days for the past several years.The camps have provided college opportunities for some of the shooters. Several have competed on the United States Army Military Academy at West Point New York and at the University of West Virginia which are all NCAA Competition. Several have been NCAA All American. Others have done well in the Military. Several of the shooters have gone on to shoot internationally in Germany and the Czech Republic.
