Mitchell County Shooting Sports 4-H

Description

We are a new program with about three years behind us. Since we have been shooting and competing our kids have done extremely well taking several top three awards in all three of the areas in which we compete. Not only that but we have four of our kids that will be representing North Carolina this year at the national 4-H shooting competition held in Nebraska. We offer this program for kids ages 9 to 19 and have been very successful in keeping new members coming in. Our program also offers hunter education to our members so that when they reach the age to posses a hunting license they can do so if so desired. Practices are conducted by certified 4-H instructors who strongly encourage parental involvement. As you can see we are very excited about what we are doing and would like to encourage others to take part in shooting sports programs.
