Description
The Nappanee Conservation Club, Inc. (NCC) sponsors multiple FREE youth sporting clays activities (five station, five shots per station) during the year. This is a FREE shooting activity for all youths under the age of 18 years old. The goal of the program is to provide a family fun oriented program that includes safety, firearm experience and fun shooting at moving clay targets.
These events are open to the general public and Club families. Adults may participate but there is a $5.00 fee per round. In 2019, 200 youths participated. That is a significant increase from the previous years.
This program exposes the younger generation to firearm safety, fosters personal responsibility and encourages young people to experience the outdoors.
Nappanee High School Trap Team - Fall/Spring seasons
Youth Sporting Clays - several times each year
Adult Sporting Clays - several times each year
Steel plate pistol competition - Wednesday night (weather permitting)
Bench rest rim fire competition - monthly (May -Aug)
Center fire rifle competition - 100/200 yards (monthly May-Aug)
Trap and wobble trap - 2nd and 4th Thursday, except Nov. and Dec.
