TheNorthwestern Club sponsored youth program is for young people from 8 to 18. Itis an NRA Jr. Club #J-11945.The program promotes the development of safeshooters and entry into the Northwestern Gun Club Youth Shooting Team.Theprogram is a work in progress and began over 5 years ago. It provides a safeenvironment to develop skills for all young shooters from those with noshooting experience to expert shooters.We use the NRA Winchesterawards program to monitor the development of each person's skill. We have trainedRange Officers and Firearm Instructors and use all areas of the clubs variousranges.We meet at the Northwestern Gun Club facilities the 2ndand 4th Saturdays of every month all year long for this program.Theprogram is cost free to any child who wants to participate.We provide allthe equipment guns ammo and safety equipment without cost. Ammo andother equipment is purchased through donations from club members. TheNorthwestern Gun Cub was established in 1907 and currently is located onHunters Lake Road in Fredenberg Township just outside of Duluth MN.
