Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H Shooting Program

Description

Program consists of safety training for handling firearms and bow and arrows and target shooting with .22 rifles, pistols and bows. The program follows the approved University of California Extension 4-H rifle, pistol and archery curriculum. Archery and firearms project meetings are separated. Each program meets at least once a month. Participation in the firearms program is restricted to Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H youth participants that complete an approved California Hunter Safety Program and are at least 12 years of age. Adult instructors have certification 4-H and/or NRA certification in the program disciplines.
