Post 228 Junior Rifle Club

Description

Junior Smallbore Rifle and Air Rifle. The program starts with pre teens teaching safe firearms handling and marksmanship. The club sends coaches and junior shooters to national smallbore and air rifle camp at Camp Perry Ohio each year. The team competes in the Pittsburgh and Suburban league and the North East Ohio Jr Rifle League. The team also competes in the University of Akron Zippy Open. The team has been extremely successful in preparing young adults for college competition with two shooters currently at UT Martin. The program has NRA Certified Coaches including Paul Angelicchio who also coach at National Smallbore Camp. Coach Paul is also a Precision Pistol competitive shooter and NRA instructor who can coach pistol marksmanship to the juniors.
