Our Snohomish County 4-H Rifle program teachesfirearm/range safety along with Olympic-style smallbore (.22) position rifleshooting Most of our 4-H Rifle clubs use the CMP (CivilianMarksmanship Program) and NRA Qualification systems for keeping track ofmember skill levels.Our program is available to all kids from 8 through 19.wight now, we have three rifle ranges in Snohomish County thatparticipate in our County-wide 4-H riflery program. Use of club target riflesand facilities at these ranges is included with the shooting dues which vary,depending on the club. The size of eachclub is limited to the available shooting lanes at each rifle range so theremay be a waiting list.Shooting practice is weekly for most of the clubs, usuallyOctober through May, with County 4-H matches once a month January through May.In June we have a County 4-H Rifle and Awards Picnic where families can trydifferent shooting games.
