Description
The focus of all 4-H programs is the development of youth as individuals and as responsible and productive citizens. Youth learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, and much more. The activities of the program and the support of caring adult leaders provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth, and conservation ethics. In our club, we offer archery, muzzleloading, pistol, rifle and shotgun disciplines. All volunteer instructors are 4-H certified. Most rifle and pistol projects are held at the Austin Rifle Club and a junior membership with ARC is required to participate. The Shotgun project is typically held at Capitol City Trap and Skeet club where membership is not required. We hold a monthly meeting on the first Tuesday of each month for all club members to attend.
