The US Naval Sea Cadet Corp is a federally chartered non-profit civilianyouth training organization for young people ages11 through 17. We are sponsored by the NavyLeague of the United States and supported by theU.S. Navy and Coast Guard.• The goals of our program are to:• Develop an interest and ability inseamanship and seagoing skills.• Instill principles of good citizenship andstrong moral principles.• Demonstrate the value of an alcohol- drug andgang-free lifestyle.• Expose cadets to the prestige of a militarycareer.A key facet of our local program involves firearm safety marksmanship and self-discipline in the shooting sports.
