University of Michigan Rifle Team

Description

The Michigan Rifle Team is a Club Sport Team at the University of Michigan under the Club Sports Program. As a Club Sport Team it is the official representative of the University in intercollegiate competitions however it is also a student lead and student funded team with Club Sports Program staff overseeing the operations of the team and providing administrative support. The team was founded in 1907 and participates in the Western Intercollegiate Rifle Conference. The team is affiliated with the NRA as a university club rifle team. Besides competition the team purpose is to develop leadership and administrative skills of it student members sportsmanship and mentoring. The team is coach by two volunteer coaches.
