Camping and outdoor experiences are what young men get involved in Scouting for. The outdoor experience including shooting sports is essential in instilling inthese young men the values Scouting offers and teaches.The Utah National Parks Council Boy Scouts of America offers a tremendous variety of camping opportunities everything from high mountain top experiences to the red rock canyons of southern Utah. TheCouncil also offers two High Adventure Bases for your older Varsity Scouts and Venturers.Beaver High Adventure Base is in the tops of the Tusher Mountains east of Beaver. A spectacular site filled with high adventure activities including a COPE course and zip line mountains to climb cliffs to rappel off of and memories to be made.Entrada High Adventure Base may be the most unique scouting facility in the country. Located near Dead Horse Point outside of Moab this camp is in the middle of the greatest slick rock biking location anywhere with the opportunity of mountain biking white water rafting on the Colorado climbing rappelling and canyoneering.Thunder Ridge Scout Camp located near the Brian Head Ski resort in southwestern Utah is a beautiful high mountain camp.Frandsen Scout Ranch located on the north end of Scofield Reservoir offers an aquatics program unequaled at any of our other camps.High Uintah Scout Camp is located in the mountains east of Vernal it is another spectacular location for Scout camping. Organized and staffed by the great Scouters in the Uintah Basin this camp caters to troops who are looking for a real wilderness adventure combined with the Scouting program which will provide adventure and Scouting experiences to all their boys.Blue Mountain Scout Camp also harnesses the local resources of great Scouters in southeastern Utah. This beautiful camp is located outside of Blanding and has been successfully operated by local volunteers for many years.Tifie Scout Camp on the foothills above Mt. Pleasant overlooks the valley and is an exceptional camp. The newest among Utah National Parks Council camps the facilities are new and beautiful. They including a swimming pool which is the main source of fun on those warm summer days.Maple Dell Scout Camp is the old traditional camp of the council. Just a few miles up Payson Canyon this camp is what you see in your mind when you think of Scout camping. Excellent program great staff fun adventure and everything you expect to have at camp you will find at Maple Dell.Each of these camps offers a variety of outdoor adventure and shooting sports instruction.
