Washington Parish 4H Shooting Sports

Description

We are 4H shooting sports organization. We are just starting our second year of service to the youth in our community. We offer training in the following disciplines: Shotgun rifle (small bore BB and pellet) pistol (BB and small bore) and archery. We are open to youth from age 9-19. In our first year of operation we had approximately 18 youth participating but only were able to offer shotgun and rifle as we only had 2 shotgun and 1 rifle instructor. As of this date we currently have 4 rifle 2 shotgun 2 pistol and 2 archery instructors. We also have 2 individuals who are coordinators for the program. We expect huge growth in the coming year. We are the only program of this nature in our parish which has a population of approximately 45 000. We follow the 4H shootings sports curriculum.
