The Dutchess CountyLong Rifles focuses on the basis of firearms and firearms safety whileincorporatingS.T.E.M. education.The club offers training in the disciplines of Archery Rifle Shotgun Pistol Muzzleloader and Air Rifle/Pistol. Club Members start with the basics of proper firearms safety and handling as well as proper range etiquette and are encouraged to build toward more advanced skills. As members progress in skills and technique members are then encouraged to participate in postal shoots with the eventual goal of attending4-H Shooting Sports competitions which can progress to state and national level events.
